COLOUR ACCURACY STATEMENT

Colours viewed on a screen, either mobile, tablet or computer, will typically vary from the original product due to the difference in settings on electronic screens.  We highly recommend picking from the colour chart for that pertains to the specific product you are looking to purchase.

Additionally, colours might vary between batches of the same product, and because the sample swatches are from a different batch from the one being supplied there is also the potential that they may vary slightly from the colour swatch, card or sample you are making your selection from.  This variance will be slight; you won’t be getting an anthracite grey when ordering a light grey.

Some of our colour swatches can be used for more than one product.  In this case there may be a perceived difference in colour between different products, i.e. a lime paint and a resin flooring product.  This is because the base material is different, and they reflect light differently.  One might be shinier than another.

And again, the light in the room and the difference in the surfaces (floors to walls or behind curtains or next to a window or lamp) will change the look of a colour.  This is particularly important to keep in mind when using different colour light bulbs.  Warm light and cool white light make your walls and floor colours look different.

Also remember that light reflects differently from vertical to horizontal surfaces.  What may look dark on a wall may look much lighter on a floor or completely the reverse depending on where the light falls.

Sound complicated doesn’t it, but it’s not really.  You’ve been living with these conditions every day so far, even if you haven’t given them much thought in the past.

And finally, the base material, site conditions and application methods can also affect the finished colour.  Ensure that you read the product data sheets for the recommended bases, preparation and application criteria.

So before placing your order we recommend choosing from a colour swatch and making a sample by either purchasing a sample pot/kit or the smallest size available to trial.

With some products there are different sealer options available.  These will also impact the final look of the product.  Some sealers impregnate the surface and can darken the look, others give a matt, satin or gloss affect that will reflect the light in different ways.

Sample kits and boards are applied with small amount of a product and therefore, colours might slightly change when larger quantities are mixed.

Please be aware that due to the natural nature of some of the materials we cannot ensure colour accuracy.

All colours presented on our website are indicative and we advise you to buy a single KG or Litre of the product before placing a larger order. Also, please make sure to place an order for ALL the materials of your project in one go as this ensures that the same batch is used and colours will not differ.

Lastly, make sure that you thoroughly mix any product as some pigment may settle at the bottom of the container.  See the products data sheets for the best way to do this as it may vary from product to product.  It is also a good idea, on a large project to mix all the paint together to ensure that there is no difference in colour between different pots.

We cannot guarantee the appearance, as it depends on proper application rather than the materials themselves.

When products are ordered in larger quantities, they may be consolidated into a single, larger container. This practice does not impact the quantity or quality of the items and cannot be used as grounds for complaints, returns, or refunds. The responsibility for mixing and portioning the materials rests with the buyer or end user.

Please note that there may be a slight variance between the stated and actual quantities of materials, up to a maximum of 10% for paints and primers, and 5% for plasters. This standard arises from manufacturing processes common in the painting industry and does not alter or invalidate the terms of the contract. Such variance cannot be considered grounds for return or complaint.
