Due to it’s system build, Calcare’s overall application time is up to two days less than other finishes. With an overall build of 3mm this is a renovation friendly product that can be laid directly over existing substrates.
Application
R303 BASE PIETRA – Neutral (A+B) must be pigmented with R731 COLORLAB Toner without adding water. To improve workability for wall application, add up to 1% by weight of R844 ADDENSANTE LIQUIDO and mix thoroughly. Apply the product in a single coat at approximately 1.10 kg/m² using an stainless steel trowel. While the material is still fresh, press the surface with the flat bottom of the trowel in a random, irregular manner without following a specific pattern to create visible irregularities and creases. Very lightly smooth some areas with random movements to achieve an irregular alternation of beaten and unbeaten areas, resulting in a dynamic, corroded-stone appearance. Once completely dry, sand the surface with 80-grit sanding discs and remove all dust thoroughly. Protect the finish with one coat of R533 TOP-CLEAR OPACO, applied undiluted in a thin layer using a plastic trowel. For wall applications, replace the protective coat with a single full coat of R405 VELATURA Transparent.

Three different protective, transparent finishes are available: Lucido (Glossy), Satinato (Satin), Opaco (Matt).
For the Pietra Continua range, ErreLAB recommends using Opaco (Matt) for the best aesthetic results.
