ErreLAB Spatolato
The classic ErreLAB finish. A smooth, trowelled resin with soft, barely-there movement, for a minimal floor or wall with no joints.

What it is
Spatolato is ErreLAB’s original decorative resin, made to mimic traditional microcement but with better performance. It’s applied in thin layers with a stainless steel trowel, and the movement of the trowel leaves soft, tone-on-tone shading across the surface. The look is calm and minimal, with an industrial edge.
It’s an epoxy resin, so it’s harder wearing and more stain resistant than a mineral microcement, and water resistant at every layer. It can be laid over screed, tiles or timber, on floors, walls and worktops, and every surface is hand finished, so no two are the same.
Spatolato is for indoor use, including bathrooms and wet rooms. For terraces, balconies and pool surrounds, use Spatolato Outdoor.

Colours
Spatolato comes in 217 colours across three ErreLAB charts: WeAreColor (105), Colours Selection (40) and Standard (72), with colour matching for most RAL and NCS colours.
Tested performance
Independently tested, so you can specify it with confidence.
Smooth Top Clear finishes also beat the Italian accessibility friction standard D.M. 236/89, wet and dry. Full certificates are on ErreLAB’s certification page, or call 01472 240 340 and we’ll send them over.
Installation
Best applied by a trained installer. Spatolato is built up in thin trowelled coats over the right ErreLAB primer for your substrate, then sealed with Top Clear. The full method is in the application manual.
Want to apply it yourself? Our Advanced training course teaches ErreLAB Spatolato and Velato, hands-on in Grimsby.
Videos
ErreLAB’s own videos are in Italian, but the technique speaks for itself.
