Substance
A high-performance, water-based coating enriched with lava powder, quartz, and mica, Basalto creates a highly resistant surface that faithfully recalls the character of natural stone. Inspired by bluestone of volcanic origin, this finish embodies strength and sobriety, delivering compact, uniform surfaces with exceptional durability and technical performance. Impetuous yet refined, Basalto is designed for spaces that demand both resilience and timeless aesthetic impact.
Application
R303 Base Pietra (A+B) should be pigmented with R731 COLORLAB Toner and diluted with 5% water by weight. To improve workability for wall application, add up to 1% by weight of R844 ADDENSANTE LIQUIDO; if the thickener is used, do not add the 5% water dilution. Apply the product using a stainless steel trowel, as with the classic Spatolato effect, in two coats at a coverage rate of 0.50 kg/m² per coat. Once completely dry, sand the surface with 80-grit sanding discs and remove all dust thoroughly. Protect the finish by applying two coats of R533 TOP-CLEAR OPACO, diluted with 10% water by weight, using a microfiber roller.

Basalto is presented in three signature colours — Trend, Style, and Elegance — carefully selected to highlight the depth, character, and mineral texture that define this finish. FINISHES
Three different protective, transparent finishes are available: Lucido (Glossy), Satinato (Satin), Opaco (Matt). For the Pietra Continua range, ErreLAB recommends using Opaco (Matt) for the best aesthetic results.
