Working Instructions
- Clean surfaces and remove any loose material. If the surface is dusty or coated with old chalky or flaking paint, apply Rialto Primer diluted with 6 parts water.
- On plasterboard, apply one or two coats of Rialto Primer One by roller, diluted with 30% water.
- Apply a coat of Rialto Veneziano Sottofondo with a stainless steel trowel.
- Leave for at least 24 hours, then sand by hand and remove any imperfections in the basecoat.
- Apply Rialto Veneziano with a stainless steel trowel or flexible spatula, following the classical technique for Venetian stuccowork — two to three coats give a more pronounced 3D effect.
- For a softer, cloudier (Annuvolato) finish, colour 3 parts Sottofondo with 1 part Veneziano of the same shade before applying the basecoat.
- Store the product at a temperature above 5°C (41°F) and not exceeding 40°C (104°F).
- Dispose of product and waste through authorised waste disposal services.
