High sheen acrylic polished plaster for interiors

Rialto Veneziano is an acrylic-based Venetian plaster made with vinyl-acetate-acrylic terpolymer emulsion resins, offering a fine Italian decorative stucco finish. Applied with trowel or spatula and glazed to the desired level of polish, it recreates the soft, glazed effect of classical Venetian stuccowork in a wide range of colours.

  • Glazed trowel or spatula finish
  • Classical Venetian stuccowork effect
  • Does not crack
  • Excellent adhesion — won't peel
  • Non-flammable and non-toxic
  • Ready to use

Working Instructions
  1. Clean surfaces and remove any loose material. If the surface is dusty or coated with old chalky or flaking paint, apply Rialto Primer diluted with 6 parts water.
  2. On plasterboard, apply one or two coats of Rialto Primer One by roller, diluted with 30% water.
  3. Apply a coat of Rialto Veneziano Sottofondo with a stainless steel trowel.
  4. Leave for at least 24 hours, then sand by hand and remove any imperfections in the basecoat.
  5. Apply Rialto Veneziano with a stainless steel trowel or flexible spatula, following the classical technique for Venetian stuccowork — two to three coats give a more pronounced 3D effect.
  6. For a softer, cloudier (Annuvolato) finish, colour 3 parts Sottofondo with 1 part Veneziano of the same shade before applying the basecoat.
  7. Store the product at a temperature above 5°C (41°F) and not exceeding 40°C (104°F).
  8. Dispose of product and waste through authorised waste disposal services.

Disclaimers
  • Do not pick a colour from a screen — request a colour fan before committing to a full kit.
  • Rialto Veneziano Bianco (white) can be tinted with Rialto tinting pastes, but as a spatula stucco the final colour may differ from the colour fan depending on substrate, technique and absorption.
  • Use product from the same batch number for a single job to avoid shade variation.
